One of the most cost-effective ways to get traffic to your site is through the joining and promotion of ad networks. You can have thousands of people promoting your site FOR you, and in most cases it won't cost you a cent!
There are many ad networks out there, but I have discovered that only a few are needed to get quality traffic. It's very important that you don't sign up with so many that you get confused! Here are 4 ad networks that are currently working for me, and a few of the benefits that come with each:

Main Street Mom - Although this site is geared toward parenting, Main Street Mom offers a "Work at Home" section where you can submit articles.
YourHomeJob - Submit all of your articles for free, and then check out the rest of their site for some really affordable advertising!
